Do you ever get the feeling you are swimming through a thick fog... well that is kind of how I am feeling at the moment. Ariadne and Genevieve came about quite quickly and I think I was expecting the next one to be the same... I started with the idea that she would be a seafaring sister, but what I thought were good ideas in my head weren't so good once I tried them, like the picture above... a swimming cap with holes?
I think I have to also keep in mind that the 7 sisters are probably going to be a long term project and that I need to enjoy the creative process and not worry to much about dud ideas, there are bound to be lots of these, they are all part of the process... just relax and don't worry.

Personally I think she's sweet but I know just what you mean, I am going through 'The funk' at the moment, even though other people like the work I am doing, it just doesn't seem to be flowing right for me at the moment, I know it will get better though, i'm in for the long haul and it can be a bumpy ride ;o)

Well *I* really like her. I hear you tho - when something doesn't feel right ... But her cap with holes doesn't look holey to me, it looks like my nanas swimming cap from back in the day. :)
I know what you mean,, some things take time and must come on their own ,, can't be rushed.I love your writing and your art,,
Well, all I can say is I wish my dud ideas looked this good! Never even noticed the holey swimming cap! Was too busy loving the colour and the way her scarf blows in the breeze.xx
I absolutely LOVE your girls... with or without the holes in the bathing cap. I get such a feeling of quiet calm when I see your artwork. Just beautiful. It's ok to feel "off" now & then. Tomorrow's another day.
love your art!
